The Moral Animal

We meet weekly to discuss books about morality, psychology, evolution, and whatever else makes us who we are. If you're interested, we want to meet you.

We're a small group that's been meeting Saturday mornings since August 2025. A few readers who got tired of having these conversations alone.

Right now we're reading standalone essays/papers while we welcome new members. First up on April 18 is Richard Feynman's Cargo Cult Science — short, funny, and one of the best things written about how to think honestly. Meetings start with a casual question/ice-breaker, some social time, then we get into the reading. We take the material seriously, but we also laugh a lot and nobody gets talked over. We vote on what we read next, and anyone can veto something they're not up for.

Saturdays at 9 a.m. — here's how to find us.
